A Birthday Celebration!

Lindsey celebrated her 8th birthday on Saturday November 27th! Trust me she did not let us forget about it, she had been talking about all last week! We went shopping last Wednesday at Target so that she could pick out what she wanted for her birthday, that made it much easier on me and I think she liked the idea of being able to pick things out herself! Now I wonder if I could do that for Christmas presents! Ha! Ha! Oh my that would be way to easy! I can't believe Lindsey is 8 years old now! Where did the time go? Lillian wears some of the things that I had for Lindsey when she was little and I always remind her of which outfits were hers. I think she likes that her little sister can wear something that was hers. My how she has grown over the years! Below was the first time Lindsey went to Lake Michigan, she did not want to leave the beach!
I can't believe how little Kyle and Lindsey were way back then!
Even Lindsey thinks tractors are boring!
Unless she's riding them!
My how you have grown so much over the years Lindsey! You are so full of life and so caring, loving and super funny! You can be such a girly girl yet such a tomboy! You are very athletic and super competitive. You have such a wonderful singing voice, which does not come from me as yours is pretty and mine is well, not like yours! You are such a wonderful little/big sister and will be such a great role model for your little sister Lillian! I know she will look up to her big sister when she gets older and as for now, she loves all the attention you give her!
You are such a beautiful little girl Lindsey, and we all love you very much! Happy 8th birthday my sweetheart!!!! Blessings, Lisa

Fun Find Friday

I am so glad I didn't venture out into the cold to go shopping today! Instead, I did my shopping online and stayed inside all day where it's warm! Now if only I could do my grocery shopping online I would be good to go this winter! I really dislike going out in the cold, especially with little ones! We had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday and get to do it again tomorrow! I honestly just got into one pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans and now I will be getting back out of them from all the yummy food I can't help but eat! I think that's just part of the holiday's, eating too much! One of my first fun finds is something that I started using for Lillian this week. The J.J. Cole Bundle me for infant seats! Really I don't remember these neat gadgets and such when Kyle and Lindsey were small!
I love it for Lillian, it keeps her cozy without all those blankets! Oh how I am not ready for the cold! Another one of my fun finds for the cold are these boots that I bought last year at the end of winter on sale!I can never figure out when wearing pants with your boots do you tuck them in the boots or have them go over the boots!? I am so not the fashion expert when it comes to things like that! I guess since its colder outside now I can pull my boots out of the closet, along with the Christmas decorations! I have already been listening to Christmas music for a few weeks now! I love Christmas music and usually start listening to it right after Halloween or sometimes before! Oh yes and tomorrow is a very special day us! We celebrate Lindsey's 8th birthday! My gosh how times flies! I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving and a fun Black Friday, shopping or not!!!! Lisa

Fun Find Friday

Thank goodness it's Friday! Today I wanted to share with you a cute little something that I bought Lillian a few weeks ago! This adorable little hat!
I had been searching for one online that wasn't around $30! Don't get me wrong, I love her to pieces but couldn't justify spending that much for a hat she would grow out of in just a few months! Then I came across this website on etsy Boutique Bella Vita and loved the hat and loved the price!
Lillian wears the hat when ever we go out and always gets lots of comments on how cute she looks with her sweet little hat on! The shipping from Boutique Bella Vita was super fast and the quality of the hat is very well made. I love the fact that the little flower is attached by a hair clip so when Lillian does out grow the hat she can still wear the flower clip. I do have plans to put her little hat in a picture frame once she out grows it so that we can put it her room and aww over how little she was at one time! If you are searching for a cute little hat check out Boutique Bella Vita, Ruthann is very sweet and know that you are buying a wonderfully well made product! Also, this little hat makes for some really cute pictures!!!! Lisa

1 Month Old!

Little Lillian you are 1 month old today! It's hard to believe that one month ago we could finally hold you in our arms and of course never let you go. You are growing like a little flower, your 0-3 month clothes are starting to fit you perfectly and it won't be long before they are getting to small. You are using up the last of your newborn diapers and will make the switch to size 1 diaper in the next day or so! You love taking a bath in your pink big girl bath tub, and of course love being massaged with lotion afterwards. It's like an evening at the spa every night for you! You are starting to make cute noises, Lindsey refers to them as your first words. You like to hold on to some of your toys, even though you really don't notice that your holding them. Or so it seems that way. You are sleeping a little longer through the night or shall we say morning! Of course when you do wake up at 2:00 am I remind myself that this stage won't last forever and that it will be gone before we know it. I did manage to capture a cute picture of you today! I have been trying to capture the perfect picture of you for above your bed. I think this one may work!I showed it to your daddy and he mentioned that it's perfect just like you! Oh yes and shall we talk about how I wasn't quite done taking naked baby pictures of you and how you were! Hmm, well, Jacob was sitting on my bed watching as I was taking your pictures. (He looks like a mini Kyle with his haircut! Too cute!!!)
I had asked Jacob it he wanted to give you a kiss on your head and just as he went to make his move... and explosion occurred in your bottom area of course! Yikes, what a mess you most certainly don't hold back! It's a good thing you were laying in a basket that was stuffed with blankets and the black fabric over it and not directly on my bed! I guess you were done having you pictures taken for the day! Here are some other pictures taken about a week ago in your daddy's working hands.
Below, you are looking up at your daddy.
I love this one of you and Lindsey, you are spitting your tongue out at her!
And of course somebody's little fingers are always touching your head! Hmm, I wonder who that could be! Happy 1 month birthday to you my sweet little Lillie! We love you!!!! Blessings, Mommy
