Four Months Old!

Lillian you are four months old today! It's also John Deere's birthday, and we all know how much we love tractors in this house! Well Lillian, you are becoming quite the little chunk you weigh 14 pounds and are 25 inches tall! Your sweet little thighs are getting so chubby and cute! Your favorite books that we are reading right now are Brown Bear Brown Bear, Ten Apples Up on Top, The Big Red Barn, just to name a few. You love to listen to music, during the day it's Elizabeth Mitchell and at night it's the O' Neill Brothers. You love when Kyle, Lindsey and daddy come home, and Jacob if he isn't with us.
Here you are dressed up with your tractor and keys, Little Farmer Lillie ready for work!!!!
You are starting to reach for things now, although you aren't quite good at grabbing what it your reaching for! Although, you have started to grab Jacob's face when he gives you kisses, I think he kinda likes it! You like to bring your legs up and try to reach for your toes. You are still a little bobble head at times, which I asked the doctor about and she said that it's still OK since you hold your head up really well when your on your belly and and pulled to a sit up position. (That's just me being super paranoid!)

Your doctor also said that you could start baby cereal now! I will probably do that towards the end of this month just to get you used to the texture of food. You still have never had a bottle before simply because you go everywhere I go! Aren't you lucky!!! I made you your first little pair of ruffle pants and you look so cute in them, just like Lindsey! Lindsey thought they were sooo cute the other day when I was making them, she couldn't wait to see them on you, I couldn't either!!!!

Here are some pictures I took of you in your cute double ruffle pants! Your daddy asked why I made two ruffles on them, he obviously doesn't know how much we love ruffles around here! I was shaking the keys to get you to smile but it wasn't working, you just wanted the keys to chew on!
You have this "great, I can't my keys, are we done yet!" look on your face!
Then I tried to get a picture of you with your super cute bib that I made just for you and this is the thanks I get!:
Obviously someone was done with the whole picture taking thing! Oh honey, you crack me up! We love you to pieces and will cherish these and so many more little moments with you!!!! Blessing, Lisa

Snow Days!

This week Kyle and Lindsey have had three snow days thanks to a wonderful blizzard that left us with around 13 inches of snow! Along with a blizzard, we also had to deal with sick little ones! Kyle had to miss school Friday, this is the first time he has had to miss school in three years! Kyle and Lindsey seem to have it right now, I wonder where they got it from!? Oh the things children share! Neither one of them are going to basketball Saturday, instead they will be here at home drinking Gatorade and water like its going out of style!

We did stay busy for the most part during our three day break! We played games like this: (Even though Jacob always cheated!)
We made these with crayons, wax paper and an iron:
Since we couldn't go out and play on Wednesday because it looked like this:
We brought some snow inside to play with:
I made this pretty camera strap with some scrap fabric I have:
It even has a pocket for the lens cap that I always seem to lose!:
This little girl loved having her oldest brother and sister around to play:
Then Chad brought home his new truck we bought Friday and we all had to pile in it for a road trip around the block! He actually has a truck that all six of us can fit in! Now he has no excuse not to take all of the kids with him somewhere! He! He! I took this picture while we were going around the block: Both Kyle and Lindsey will go back to school tomorrow feeling better than they did last week! And I hope we are done with snow storms and accumulating snow for the rest of this winter!!!!

Taking Pictures!

I have always liked photography and pretty pictures but I have to admit I have fallen in love with it over the past few years. Maybe having some pretty cute kids to take pictures of has something to do with♥! I will admit I have become a mamarazzi for sure, always snapping pictures, I'm sure the kids are slightly embarrassed! (If not now I'm sure they will be in a few years!)

I have had photoshop Elements for my computer for the past three years and just now figured out how to put pictures in and out of it! The only thing that I have really used it for was school related. It does have some pretty cute backgrounds with little buses and chalkboards on it! Last time I used it was for a pretty awesome science lesson that needed to be typed out and printed off! I am now enjoying how to figure out what to do with my pictures. I am excited to be able to create some fun pictures to decorate the house with!

I had Chad take a few pictures with Lillian a few days ago, I was wanting a certain look to my picture and I believe I have actually achieved what I was envisioning! Thankfully Chad and Lillian were very willing participants, I think they have come to the realization that I love to take pictures and to just deal with it! Here is a before picture:
And here is the after:
I was excited to see the it actually turned out how I wanted it to, even Chad liked it! Now I just need to order these online through my print company and hang somewhere in the new house. Here is another one that I did, before and after:Chad's "working hands" as I call them and little delicate Lillian, doesn't get more opposite than that! I have only figured out how to do photos with black and white and/or sepia so now I need to try and figure out what to do with color pictures! Hopefully it won't take me three years to figure that out! Blessings, Lisa

Mini Cheerleader!

Over the course of the past few days Lindsey has had cheerleading practice for her mini cheer camp performance she did Saturday night! She loved it, cheerleading and dancing are two of her favorite things, along with gymnastics. It was quite entertaining to watch, Lillian and I went in early Thursday evening to watch at practice! Let me point out that watching kindergartners dance is beyond the cutest thing! I am amazed at how fast those little girls picked up on the cheers and dance routine, it would have taken me a month to learn all that!

Lindsey loves being in front of a crowd and never seems to get nervous, she doesn't get that from me. I believe the total number of girls was around 64 K-5th graders! The coach said this was her biggest turn out! Chad and the boys stayed home during the performance, so Lindsey showed them her routine at home instead. She had to do it without the music because Justin Beiber wouldn't come over to perform!

So when it was Lindsey's turn to perform like the mamarazzi I am I hurried down to the front row to do my job! Here are some of the pictures I took from Saturday!!!!
She loved watching the older girls!!!!
Here is a group shot of all the future cheerleaders!
Lindsey had a blast at cheer camp and I am so glad she enjoyed herself! I am sure she will do it again the next time they offer it!!!! Blessings, Lisa

Kitchen Colors!

Goodness gracious have we been busy lately! With basketball, 4-H meeting, Lindsey started cheer leading tonight, doing preschool with Jacob and working at the other house, I'm ready for a vacation! Oh yes and not to mention that I really don't like getting out in the snow! Is it spring yet, only 53 more days?!
I am having the hardest time picking out a wall color for our kitchen! I know it's just paint, but I really don't like the idea of having to paint over it again! OK that and I guess you can call me lazy! I really want the color to match the glaze around the cabinets edges, not to much to ask for now is it!? I am afraid the color that I have chosen may be to dark, it's Benjamin Moore's Golden Chenille seen here. It looks lighter on the Internet than it does on my swatch!
I went to the local hardware store today to pick up some polyurethane for the stairs and had to stop and look at their paint colors! And of course pick up a few colors to add the never ending pile of colors! Hopefully by this time next week we will have the kitchen painted and ready to put the flooring down next weekend.
Speaking of flooring check out this kitchen's floor in the picture below and aren't' those cabinets pretty too! (Photo credit: Country Living)
I could have chosen pink for the walls! Ha! Ha! Just kidding! I will keep that for an accent color since I have a pink mixer, pink mixing bowls and pink cooking utensils!!!! Blessings Lisa
